WHO WE ARE –

Hong Kong Intergroup (HKIG) is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt society registered in the Hong Kong (SAR), PRC.

We serve the Hong Kong Alcoholics Anonymous (HKAA) fellowship, its autonomous groups, and the greater Hong Kong community. Our mission is to help HKAA carry the A.A. message of recovery and hope to the still suffering alcoholic.

WHAT WE DO –

We provide the following services to the Hong Kong Alcoholics Anonymous fellowship, its autonomous member groups, and the greater Hong Kong community; in addition to other central office functions.

HKAA Hotline

Our hotline phone +852 9073 6922 is staffed 24/7 by volunteers from the various HKAA groups. When someone reaches out for help, we want the hand of A.A. always to be there. The hotline also handles general inquires and password requests for on-line meetings that use the Zoom platform.

hkaa website

Our public website https://www.aa-hk.org is maintained by our Website Committee. It provides the schedule of meetings by HKAA groups and direct access to A.A. literature from Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc. in New York. The newcomer can find helpful pamphlets to read to get an introduction to A.A. It also lists other A.A. resources available in the Greater Bay Area and Mainland China.

direct community outreach

Our Hospitals/Institutions and Public Information Committee cooperates with various HK Government departments, as well as, corporate & charitable organisations (NGOs), and schools to carry the A.A. message of experience, strength and hope to the greater Hong Kong community. The committee is composed of volunteers from the various HKAA groups.

WHY WE DO IT –

Hong Kong Intergroup practices the Concepts for World Service from the Third Legacy of Alcoholics Anonymous. We are guided by this spirit of service, and are but trusted servants. Our efforts are a means to carry the A.A. message of recovery and hope to the alcoholic who still suffers in the greater Hong Kong area.
